Last night, Levi and I enjoyed a performance at le Grand Théâtre d'Angers. The performance featured various opera pieces inspired by Bohemian Rhapsody and even included an audience sing-along of the classic at the end! It was a fantastic experience.

Built in 1795, the theater has been around for awhile! It has a beautiful hand-painted ceiling and a gorgeous chandelier. The theater has three levels of balconies in addition to its floor seating, which allows seating for up to 748 people at a time.
Unfortunately, tours are not regularly offered at the theater, so in order to see the inside, you have to attend a performance there. The sole exception is reserving a guided tour on the weekend of "Journées Européens de Patrimoine" that is held at the end of September every year.

Its location in Place Raillement makes it a wonderful backdrop for the Christmas Markets, as they drape thousands of twinkling lights from the facade of the theater.
